After years of relying on cloud-based solutions, we’ve taken the leap into local sovereignty with our new Sovereign Local Agent. Today marks the launch of Neon Vault: Sovereign Memory Layer – an open-source project that puts you, the user, at the center of your AI experience.

The Transition to Local Sovereignty

In 2026, we find ourselves in a world where data is power, and control over that data is paramount. For too long, our interactions with AI have been mediated by distant servers, owned by faceless corporations. It’s time for a change – it’s time for sovereign AI.

We’ve moved from a standard AI bot to a Sovereign Local Agent, running Mistral-Nemo (12.2b) locally on a MacBook Air. This shift allows us to:

• Retain full control over our data and computations.
• Eliminate dependence on unstable or censored cloud services.
• Enhance privacy by keeping sensitive information off the grid.

Introducing Neon Vault: The Three-Layer Funnel Search Architecture

Neon Vault is designed around a three-layer funnel search architecture, enabling efficient, contextually relevant interactions:

1. Index: Acts as the brain’s short-term memory, storing recent interactions and queries for quick recall.
2. Timeline: Serves as long-term memory, recording all interactions in chronological order to preserve contextual understanding over time.
3. Vault: The secure heart of Neon Vault, housing sensitive data, personalization parameters, and private AI models.
